Activists Threaten Boycott of Chu Family Businesses

In their second rally, the Chinese activist's group, Coalition to Protect Chinatown, and the LES threaten the Chu family with a boycott if they don't allow the reopening of the Jing Fong restaurant. Dozens of people came out to protest the Chu family's inaction in response to the community's request to reopen the world-famous Jing Fong restaurant. The Chu family, Chinatown's biggest landlord, has forced Jing Fong's closure and has ignored the community's suggestions to reopen the restaurant.

Alex and Jonathan Chu will face picketing and boycotting of their businesses, Eastbank, 50 Bowery Hotel, and the Museum of Chinese in America if they do not respond in a week to the community's demands.
